  • Tax Law Alignment: Maintain an in-depth understanding of current Nigerian tax laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

2. Advanced Financial Control & Reconciliation

  • Ledger Mastery: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Balance Sheet Integrity: Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or audit findings.

  • Audit Readiness: Proactively assist with annual audit preparations, ensuring all documentation is organized, transparent, and compliant.

3. Strategic Reporting & System Development

  • Management Insight: Summarize and prepare high-level financial status reports, including Profit & Loss statements and cash flow analysis, for executive review.

  • Process Innovation: Contribute to the development or amendment of accounting systems and programs to improve departmental efficiency.

  • Revenue Monitoring: Oversee the timely submission of invoices to clients to optimize the company's cash flow cycle.

  • QuickBooks Expert: Hands-on, in-depth experience in the QuickBooks accounting software package is mandatory.

  • Excel Power User: Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex financial modeling.

  • Analytical Grit: Strong ability to investigate non-compliance issues and resolve account discrepancies proactively.

Core Competencies
