Job Description:

• The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s comprehensive financial records.
• You will ensure total accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting across three key business pillars: Grooming Services, Retail Sales, and Distribution Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate financial records, ledgers, and bank reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
• Cash Flow Management: Proactively manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to optimize working capital.
• Payroll & Compliance: Oversee the accurate processing of payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc.).
• Multi-Channel Revenue Tracking: Implement robust systems to track and analyze revenue streams specifically from grooming services, retail sales, and distribution networks.
• Tax & Audit Management: Ensure full tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT) and act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits.
• Strategic Insights: Provide data-driven financial insights and budget analysis to support executive business decisions and growth strategies.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Financial Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or IFRS, specifically regarding financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
• Analytical Ability: Strong capacity for data analysis to provide actionable financial insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Academic Background: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the retail, service, or distribution sectors.
• Professional Certification: (Optional but recommended) Progress toward or completion of ICAN/ACCA is a significant advantage.
