Job Description:
Financial Management & Project Accounting
Full-Cycle Accounting: Maintain high-integrity financial records, including ledgers, journals, and complex bank/vendor reconciliations.
Real Estate Specialization: Execute project-based accounting for property developments, managing the financial lifecycle of sales, rentals, and construction expenses.
Transaction Oversight: Ensure precise documentation and accounting for property acquisitions, agent commissions, and shared project costs.
Cash Flow & Budgeting: Manage daily cash flow, track departmental expenses, and conduct rigorous variance analysis against project budgets.
Statutory Compliance & Audit
Tax Administration: Ensure 100% compliance with Nigerian statutory obligations, including timely filing and remittance of PAYE, WHT, VAT, and CIT.
Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities, external auditors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., FIRS, LIRS).
Audit Leadership: Lead internal and external audit preparations, ensuring the swift resolution of all audit queries.
Governance & Process Improvement
Internal Controls: Implement and enforce robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent leakages.
Process Innovation: Continuously review accounting workflows and recommend digital or procedural improvements for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Reporting & Systems
Financial Intelligence: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that provide actionable insights for management and investors.
ERP Mastery: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho) and advanced Excel to maintain a digitized, auditable financial ecosystem.
Requirements:
Industry Acumen: Specific knowledge of project accounting and property sales cycles.
Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Professional Ethics: Unwavering integrity and commitment to data confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of cognate experience, with a strong preference for candidates from Real Estate, Construction, or Engineering sectors.
Professional Status: ICAN/ACCA certification is highly desirable (or being at the final professional stage).
Technical Skills: * Advanced mastery of Nigerian Tax Laws and IFRS.
High proficiency in MS Excel (Pivots, V-Lookups, Financial Modeling).
Proven experience with ERP or cloud-based accounting software.
