Job Description:
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of all financial transactions, including income and expenses.
Bookkeeping & Documentation: Post daily transactions to the general ledger and ensure all supporting documents (invoices, receipts, vouchers) are properly filed.
Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to ensure internal records match bank statements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare periodic (weekly/monthly) financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow summaries for management review.
Tax & Compliance: Assist in the preparation and timely filing of statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE) to ensure regulatory compliance.
Payroll Processing: Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate salary computations and deductions.
Expense Management: Monitor office expenses and ensure all disbursements are approved and within budget.
Requirements:
Technical Skills: * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, v-lookups, and reporting).
Practical knowledge of Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
Trustworthiness: Demonstrated integrity and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with total confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a dedicated accounting or bookkeeping role.
Salary
