Job Description:

We are seeking a technically skilled and methodical Service Engineer to join our technical support team. In this role, you will be the lead expert in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing critical power equipment, including Inverters, UPS systems, and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR). You will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs meet the rigorous safety and technical standards of our Service Centre. Whether working within the facility or at client sites, your goal is to minimize equipment downtime and provide reliable power solutions through superior engineering practice and detailed technical reporting.

Requirements:

1. Technical Diagnostics & Repair

  • System Troubleshooting: Perform deep-level component and board-level troubleshooting for Inverters, Online/Offline UPS, and Voltage Stabilizers.

  • Service Execution: Execute repairs in strict accordance with Service Centre protocols, ensuring the longevity and reliability of the restored equipment.

  • Field Support: Attend to complex technical issues on-site, providing professional support for product installations and external maintenance requests.

2. Procedural Discipline & Safety

  • Workflow Compliance: Adhere to established job flow procedures, from initial intake and fault finding to final testing and quality assurance.

  • Safety Stewardship: Maintain a zero-compromise approach to electrical safety and workshop standards to protect yourself, the equipment, and the facility.

  • Continuous Learning: Participate in technical training sessions to stay updated on new circuitry, firmware, and evolving power electronic technologies.

3. Documentation & Performance Tracking

  • Daily Activity Reporting: Maintain clear, concise logs of all daily repair activities, parts used, and technical hurdles encountered.

  • Technical Documentation: Ensure all job cards and service reports are meticulously filled out to maintain a "source of truth" for equipment history.

  • Resource Management: Monitor tool health and component inventory, flagging restocking needs to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Technical Edge

  • Academic: B.Eng or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

  • Experience: Proven experience in the repair and installation of Inverters, UPS, and AVRs is a significant advantage.

  • Wiring Proficiency: Strong practical knowledge of industrial and domestic electrical wiring techniques.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.

  • Digital Literacy: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and modern diagnostic software.

  • Communication: Ability to provide clear technical explanations to both internal teams and external clients.
