Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and technically versatile Engineer/Technician to anchor the engineering team at our Ikeja facility. In the luxury hospitality sector, success is defined by "Invisible Excellence", the ability to harmonize complex property maintenance with the clinical precision required to ensure 100% guest comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. This role is designed for a "Technical Specialist" with a background in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC systems who can blend "Preventative Maintenance Grit" with the "Service Agility" required to resolve guest-room issues promptly.
Requirements:
1. Systems Reliability & Preventative Maintenance
Routine Infrastructure Oversight: Perform high-fidelity day-to-day maintenance within hotel rooms and common areas, ensuring every fixture and system meets Hilton’s premium standards.
Preventative Orchestration: Execute the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Schedule with millimetric precision, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment is serviced before failure occurs.
Rapid-Response Support: Respond to maintenance calls with clinical efficiency, minimizing guest inconvenience and ensuring "First-Visit Resolution" for all technical hurdles.
2. Energy Stewardship & System Optimization
Conservation Engineering: Assist in the implementation of the hotel’s energy conservation program, identifying "Leakage" in power or water usage and proposing technical remedies.
Sustainability Advocacy: Recommend maintenance system improvements and innovative energy-saving measures to reduce the facility’s carbon footprint and operational costs.
Asset Lifecycle Management: Maintain all tools, specialized equipment, and technical working areas in "Audit-Ready" condition to extend the lifespan of hotel assets.
3. Compliance & Technical Excellence
Standards Adherence: Stay abreast of local and international compliance regulations, ensuring all engineering operations meet the highest levels of safety, security, and environmental standards.
Skill Evolution: Proactively keep technical training, knowledge, and certifications up to date, ensuring the engineering team remains a "Source of Excellence" within the organization.
Collaborative Synergy: Work synchronously with other Team Members to ensure that back-of-house operations never compromise the front-of-house guest experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: A certificate in a specialized field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing is required.
Experience: Proven experience in the maintenance department of a large hotel, hospital, ship, or complex restaurant environment.
Location: Must be able to work Full-Time Onsite in Ikeja, Lagos.
Core Competencies
Technical Grit: Current working knowledge of general property maintenance and specialized engineering work.
