Job Description:
We are seeking a technically rigorous and vigilant Power Plant Monitoring Technician with an Electrical Engineering background. In the high-stakes environment of power generation, success is defined by "Parameter Integrity", the ability to harmonize real-time data tracking with the rapid identification of electrical abnormalities. This role is designed for a "System Guardian" with 1–3 years of experience who can blend "Electrical Troubleshooting" with the "Meticulous Discipline" required to oversee generators, transformers, and complex switchgear systems.
Requirements:
1. Electrical Parameter & Grid Oversight
System Surveillance: Monitor the real-time performance of high-value assets, including Generators, Transformers, Switchgear, and Auxiliary Systems.
Parameter Tracking: Track and record critical electrical metrics—Voltage, Current, Frequency, Load, and Power Output—to ensure the plant operates within its optimal efficiency curve.
Instrumentation Vigilance: Observe control systems and SCADA interfaces to maintain stable operations and prevent grid-level disturbances.
2. Abnormal Condition Management & Reporting
Early-Warning Detection: Identify and analyze operational abnormalities or equipment deviations, providing high-velocity reports to the engineering team to prevent system failure.
Diagnostic Support: Support troubleshooting activities during equipment faults or operational disturbances, utilizing your electrical background to pinpoint root causes.
Documentation Sovereignty: Maintain accurate daily operational logs, incident records, and performance reports that serve as the "Source of Truth" for plant management.
3. Maintenance & Operational Synergy
Inspection Support: Assist in routine physical inspections of electrical equipment and plant infrastructure to ensure long-term asset health.
Lifecycle Coordination: Support the plant operator and maintenance teams during critical Start-up, Shutdown, and Maintenance intervals.
Safety Stewardship: Ensure 100% compliance with plant safety procedures (LOTO, PPE) and operational protocols, maintaining a "Zero-Accident" environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in power generation, industrial plant operations, or electrical systems monitoring.
Technical Savvy: Familiarity with SCADA systems, power distribution, and plant instrumentation.
Core Competencies
Analytical Grit: Ability to monitor and interpret multiple electrical parameters simultaneously under pressure.
Communication Power: Strong reporting skills to relay complex technical data to the engineering and management teams.
Operational Resilience: Readiness for shift work, including nights and weekends, in a mix of control room and plant floor environments.
