We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance with financial regulations, and proper reporting.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, trustworthy, and experienced in managing full-cycle accounting in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Track revenue, expenses, budgets, and cash flow.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, ITF, NSITF).
- Liaise with auditors, tax offices, and regulatory agencies during audits and filings.
- Maintain documentation required for tax audits and regulatory reporting.
Financial Control:
- Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
- Approve expense requests, verify supporting documents, and ensure policy compliance.
- Monitor asset ledger, depreciation schedules, and inventory records.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare management reports including cash flow forecasts, P&L, balance sheets, and variance reports.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Support budgeting and long-term financial planning.
Team Support & Coordination:
- Supervise junior finance staff and ensure accuracy of entries.
- Support procurement and operations with cost analysis and financial review.
- Ensure timely submission of departmental financial data.
Requirements:
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage).
- Minimum 5–6 years relevant experience in accounting.
- Expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books).
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines
Salary
