Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and commercially astute Key Account Manager to lead our hospitality unit in Port Harcourt. In the competitive on-trade sector (Bars, Restaurants, and Hotels), success is defined by "Brand Dominance", the ability to turn a beverage or product into the "first choice" for both the establishment and the consumer. This role is designed for a "Market Architect" with 5+ years of experience who can blend "High-Level Negotiation" with the "Creative Flare" required to execute memorable promotional events.
Your mission is to ensure "Market Share Expansion and Absolute Customer Loyalty." You will be the primary engine of our hospitality footprint in Rivers State: responsible for securing long-term partnerships with top-tier outlets, optimizing pricing contracts, and training on-trade staff to become brand advocates. If you possess "Strategic Negotiation Grit," a background in FMCG or Manufacturing, and the self-discipline to dominate a fast-paced market, we want you to lead our expansion.
Requirements:
1. On-Trade Strategy & Relationship Engineering
Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain an elite network of key on-trade accounts (Hotels, Lounges, and Restaurants), ensuring we are the preferred partner for their long-term business growth.
On-Trade Architecture: Develop and execute tailored sales plans that address the unique dynamics of the Port Harcourt hospitality scene to drive volume and value.
Contract Diplomacy: Lead negotiations on pricing, volume commitments, and contractual terms to ensure maximum profitability and mutual benefit.
2. Brand Activation & Consumer Engagement
Promotional Orchestration: Plan and execute high-impact events, brand activations, and promotional campaigns that increase "Share of Throat" and consumer engagement within the channel.
Staff Empowerment: Conduct regular product training and selling-technique workshops for on-trade staff (bartenders, servers, managers) to turn them into effective brand ambassadors.
Visibility Mastery: Ensure our brand maintains "Primary Position" visibility through strategic merchandising and point-of-sale (POS) placement.
3. Market Intelligence & Performance Analysis
Competitive Surveillance: Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify emerging trends, shifting consumer behaviors, and competitor maneuvers in the South-South region.
Data-Driven Reporting: Provide senior management with high-fidelity reports on performance metrics, "Strike Rates," and actionable insights to refine the broader sales strategy.
Regulatory Navigation: Stay abreast of local hospitality regulations and changes to ensure all trade activities remain fully compliant.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of robust sales experience specifically within the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors.
Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the on-trade landscape (HORECA) in Port Harcourt and environs.
