Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and technically rigorous Senior Finance Associate to anchor the financial management functions of Black Pelican Group. In the premium lifestyle and corporate sector, success is defined by "Fiscal Intelligence", the ability to harmonize complex group consolidation with the predictive power of financial forecasting. This role is designed for a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA) with 8+ years of experience who can blend "Advanced Financial Control" with the "Analytical Grit" required to guide strategic decision-making in a high-growth environment.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Variance Financial Integrity and Absolute Statutory Sovereignty." You will be a primary steward of our fiscal health: responsible for group-wide consolidation, liquidity engineering, and the continuous optimization of our financial reporting systems. If you possess "Exceptional Microsoft Excel Mastery," a deep understanding of IFRS, and a track record of implementing robust control mechanisms, we want you to drive our financial excellence.
Requirements:
1. Financial Architecture & Performance Analysis
Group Consolidation: Lead the consolidation of group financial accounts, ensuring seamless reporting that adheres to global accounting standards and internal benchmarks.
Predictive Forecasting: Support the engineering of monthly budgets and cash flow projections, utilizing variance analysis to provide senior management with high-fidelity performance insights.
Strategic Reporting: Produce value-added management reports that simplify complex financial data into a compelling narrative for informed decision-making.
2. Controls, Systems & Treasury Stewardship
Control Governance: Establish and enforce rigorous control mechanisms across purchase and sales ledgers to eliminate leakage and ensure transaction integrity.
System Optimization: Periodically review and enhance financial reporting systems to ensure they remain scalable and support maximum operational efficiency.
Liquidity Engineering: Manage the lifecycle of treasury activities, including fund flow monitoring and liquidity planning to ensure the organization is always optimally capitalized.
3. Regulatory Sovereignty & Operational Finance
Compliance Leadership: Act as the guardian of statutory integrity, ensuring 100% timely remittance of VAT, WHT, and PAYE, while adhering to all IFRS reporting standards.
Audit Readiness: Support the implementation of sound financial policies and procedures, maintaining a state of perpetual audit-readiness across all reporting entities.
Transaction Lifecycle: Oversee the processing and posting of payment vouchers, ensuring that the documentation trail for every financial transaction is impeccable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of robust professional experience in accounting or finance.
Licensure: Professional Certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a sound understanding of IFRS reporting standards.
