Job Description:
Are you a highly experienced instrumentation specialist looking to make a significant impact in the energy sector? We are seeking a skilled Instrument Maintenance Technician III to join our operations team in Akwa Ibom. In this role, you will be responsible for the high-level installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of instrumentation systems. You will play a vital part in ensuring production equipment meets performance benchmarks, adhering strictly to safety regulations and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Operational Excellence & Compliance: Oversee maintenance activities in strict alignment with legal, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain a primary focus on Health, Safety, and the Environment (HSE).
System Integrity: Take full responsibility for control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual. Manage and verify work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS).
Technical Leadership: Act as a key resource for maintenance and troubleshooting. Provide expert input on control specifications and mentor team members to improve collective technical skills.
Project & Change Management: Generate Management of Change (MOC) requests for control equipment, conduct installation inspections, and recommend infrastructure upgrades to optimize mission efficiency.
Collaboration: Foster open communication across operations, engineering, and project groups. Coordinate work prioritization to ensure maximum team effectiveness.
Stand-in Capability: Serve as the designated substitute for the Instrument Lead as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic Background: BA/BSc/HND or MBA/MSc/MA required.
Core Experience: 15–25 years of proven experience in maintaining Instruments and Controls within processing plants or offshore production environments.
Certification: Associate degree and relevant technical certifications are required.
Technical Competencies
Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of oil and gas facility operations, including relevant industry regulations and standards.
System Proficiency: Mastery of "oi" (Operations Integrity) systems, associated manuals, and documentation procedures.
Administrative Readiness: Full compliance with company-approved training roadmaps and critical competency requirements.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in essential computing and technical reporting software.
