We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the bank's business objectives and growth goals.
- Oversee all daily financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, such as credit, market, and operational risks.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.
- Ensure the bank complies with all applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, including filing statutory returns.
- Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors, and regulators, while maintaining strong relationships.
- Lead financial analysis, long-term financial planning, and the development of financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and execute the financial strategy of the microfinance bank in alignment with the overall business goals.
- Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including Central Bank guidelines, tax laws, and other legal requirements. Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
- Manage the bank’s capital structure and Treasury function. Optimize the bank’s capital allocation to support growth objectives.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. A Master’s Degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management within the banking or financial services sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in microfinance operations is a significant plus.
- Strong knowledge of microfinance operations and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in financial strategy development and execution.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Salary
