Job Description:
Invent Alliance Limited is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive the growth of our premium bakery portfolio—including bread, pastries, and specialty items. This is a foundational commercial role that blends field-based customer acquisition with office-based account management.
In this position, you will be the primary link between our high-capacity bakery and the vibrant retail landscape of Ajah and Sangotedo. You will identify new resellers, supermarkets, and corporate buyers while ensuring our existing partners are consistently delighted. Requirements:
1. Customer Acquisition & Market Scouting
Retail & Reseller Scouting: Proactively identify and approach high-potential retail outlets, restaurants, and corporate clients within the bakery’s catchment area.
Lead Conversion: Clearly communicate our product value, pricing tiers, and order processes to turn "prospects" into "consistent accounts."
Market Intelligence: Conduct routine field visits to monitor competitor pricing and shelf presence, providing the data needed to keep our products competitive.
2. Relationship Management & Retention
Account Stewardship: Build and maintain high-trust partnerships with existing resellers to ensure steady weekly demand and repeat business.
Service Alignment: Collaborate with the production and customer service teams to ensure that our delivery schedules and product quality match our client commitments.
Upselling & Expansion: Identify opportunities to introduce new specialty items or larger volume tiers to existing customers to maximize account value.
3. Operational Reporting & Control
Data-Driven Feedback: Systematically collect customer feedback and market insights, translating field observations into simple, actionable reports for management.
Target Achievement: Work toward structured sales goals through disciplined daily follow-ups and efficient order management.
Inventory & Supply Sync: Ensure that field sales efforts are synchronized with the bakery's daily production capacity to avoid stock-outs or overproduction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 6 months – 2 years in sales or customer service. FMCG or bakery industry experience is a major advantage.
Location: Mandatory residency within Ajah, Sangotedo, or immediately surrounding areas.
