Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and operationally elite Vendor & Partnership Manager to anchor the sourcing engine of our startup. In the competitive Lagos trade ecosystem, success is defined by "Procurement Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize field-based sourcing with the clinical precision required for vendor assessment, price negotiation, and delivery schedules. This role is designed for a "Supply Architect" who can blend "Market Grit" (navigating hubs like Balogun, Idumota, and Mushin) with the "Analytical Agility" required to monitor competitor pricing and identify strategic partnership opportunities.

Requirements:

1. Sourcing Orchestration & Vendor Governance

  • Market Sovereignty: Execute high-frequency field operations in major Lagos hubs, identifying and assessing vendors for quality, reliability, and pricing to ensure we maintain a "Source of Excellence."

  • Relationship Stewardship: Build and maintain high-fidelity vendor relationships, ensuring our startup is prioritized for premium stock and timely deliveries.

  • Fidelity Assessment: Conduct rapid, clinical quality checks on products and materials, ensuring all procured goods meet the organization's millimetric standards.

2. Negotiation Logic & Partnership Expansion

  • Fiscal Diplomacy: Negotiate terms, pricing, and credit facilities with vendors to optimize the company's "Capital Velocity" and overall profitability.

  • Alliance Architecture: Identify and secure partnership opportunities that expand the business reach, transforming standard suppliers into strategic growth allies.

  • Delivery Integrity: Coordinate the end-to-end procurement cycle, ensuring that material delivery schedules are synchronously aligned with the startup’s operational needs.

3. Market Intelligence & Performance Analytics

  • Competitor Surveillance: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, competitor sourcing strategies, and new growth opportunities.

  • Performance Architecture: Provide high-impact reports on vendor performance, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic procurement recommendations for the leadership team.

  • Autonomous Execution: Manage complex field-based tasks independently, maintaining a high level of organizational grit without constant office-based supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Proven field-based experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain.

  • Market Mastery: Deep, practical knowledge of Lagos markets (Balogun, etc.) and a network of existing supplier contacts.

  • Work Style: Comfortable with a Field-Based role that requires significant time outside the office navigating complex trade environments.
