Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Sales and Partnership Executive to anchor the commercial growth of the Goodnews Naija Podcast. In the rapidly evolving Nigerian media landscape, success is defined by "Narrative Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize impactful content with the clinical precision required for brand integration, high-stakes sponsorship negotiations, and long-term agency partnerships. This role is designed for a "Revenue Architect" who can blend "Sales Grit" (prospecting and cold-pitching) with the "Media Agility" required to navigate the digital content space and align sponsor values with our unique editorial mission.

Requirements:

1. Partnership Orchestration & Lead Governance

  • Sponsorship Sovereignty: Identify and pursue high-fidelity partnership opportunities that act as the "Source of Revenue" for the podcast, targeting brands that align with our positive-impact narrative.

  • Pitch Architecture: Develop and deliver powerful, persuasive pitches to brands, media agencies, and potential collaborators, ensuring the Goodnews Naija value proposition is a "Source of Influence."

  • Deal Velocity: Lead the entire partnership lifecycle—from initial prospecting and outreach to clinical deal closure and execution—ensuring every stage is optimized for conversion.

2. Relationship Diplomacy & Ecosystem Logic

  • Client Stewardship: Build and maintain high-trust, elite relationships with sponsors and advertisers, ensuring the podcast remains their "Source of Choice" for audience engagement.

  • Negotiation Sovereignty: Expertly manage partnership negotiations, balancing commercial objectives with the need for creative integrity and long-term stakeholder value.

  • Internal Synergy: Work synchronously with the content and production teams to ensure all brand integrations are high-fidelity and seamlessly aligned with the podcast’s goals.

3. Performance Intelligence & Strategic Support

  • Visibility Architecture: Support the development of sales strategies that expand the podcast’s commercial footprint and digital visibility across all platforms.

  • Revenue Reconnaissance: Track and analyze market trends within the Nigerian media and podcasting space to identify new "Source of Opportunity" revenue streams.

  • Documentation Power: Maintain organized records of partnership agreements and performance metrics, providing management with "Intelligence-Driven" reports on commercial success.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Proven track record in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, or Partnerships.

  • Sector Savvy: A deep understanding of the Media, Podcasting, and Digital Content landscape in Nigeria.

  • Education: A relevant degree or prior experience in a similar high-impact media role is a significant strategic advantage.
