Job Description:

OPPO Nigeria is seeking a proactive and people-centric HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Ogba. In this role, you will be the bridge between our people and our business objectives, ensuring that our workforce is engaged, compliant, and performing at its peak.

As an HRBP, you will move beyond administrative tasks to become a strategic advisor to management. You will own the employee lifecycle—from seamless onboarding to high-impact performance management and grievance resolution. Requirements:

1. Employee Advocacy & Workplace Culture

• First-Line Resolution: Serve as the trusted point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring fair and swift resolutions that align with company policy and labor laws.

• Culture Stewardship: Champion an inclusive and high-energy workplace culture through creative communication and strategic team-building initiatives.

• Engagement Strategy: Identify and execute initiatives that boost morale and drive long-term employee retention.

2. Performance & Talent Development

• Performance Architecture: Facilitate the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year appraisals, and PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) coordination.

• Onboarding & Integration: Lead comprehensive orientation programs that ensure new hires are culturally aligned and operationally ready from Day 1.

• Career Pathing: Work with managers to identify development gaps and implement planning that supports both individual and business growth.

3. Strategic Business Partnership & Operations

• GTM Alignment: Partner with department heads to develop HR strategies that directly support sales objectives and business expansion.

• Compliance Governance: Ensure all HR operations remain in strict adherence to Nigerian labor laws and global best practices.

• Operational Excellence: Support the HR Manager in daily operations, ensuring that data integrity and administrative standards are upheld in the Ogba office.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within a fast-paced retail, tech, or structured corporate environment.

• Regulatory IQ: Strong working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and modern HR best practices.

• Location: Must reside in or close to Ogba, Lagos, for operational proximity.
