Job Description:
We are seeking a trend-savvy, data-driven Specialist to drive the growth of EMTS’s Youth Segment. The youth market is the heartbeat of the telecommunications industry; they are the early adopters of data services, digital content, and mobile convergence.
In this role, you will be the "eyes and ears" on the ground, conducting deep-dive research into youth behaviors, digital trends, and lifestyle preferences. You will assist in architecting promotional campaigns that resonate with young Nigerians and play a pivotal role in launching products that secure our market share. Requirements:
1. Market Intelligence & Product Innovation
Convergence Research: Conduct research on new product initiatives and convergence options (data, voice, and digital lifestyle) specifically targeted at the youth demographic.
Penetration Strategy: Identify untapped sub-segments within the youth market to drive market share acquisition and competitive displacement.
Lifecycle Optimization: Research and recommend options for customer lifecycle extension to reduce churn and increase the lifetime value (LTV) of young subscribers.
2. Campaign Execution & Logistics
Promotional Concepts: Assist in developing high-impact concepts for youth-centric promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with current pop culture and digital trends.
Go-To-Market (GTM) Support: Participate actively in product launches and awareness campaigns, ensuring all regional activities align with the national segment strategy.
Event Logistics: Manage the logistics for campus fairs, youth concerts, and ad-hoc surveys aimed at promoting EMTS’s digital services.
3. Operational Excellence & Collaboration
Cross-Functional Liaison: Work closely with Finance to manage third-party payments and collaborate with Technical and Brand teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Performance Reporting: Prepare and compile periodic performance reports, analyzing the success of youth initiatives against set KPIs.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain fluid communication with relevant business units to ensure youth segment objectives are integrated into broader company goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience in marketing, brand management, or consumer insights (Telecommunications experience is a plus).
Education: First degree or its equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related Social Science discipline.
Core Competencies
Trend Analysis: A deep understanding of the Nigerian youth landscape, social media trends, and digital consumption patterns.
Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize market research data into actionable recommendations.
Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills to manage logistics for large-scale fairs and multi-city campaigns.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for presenting concepts and performance reports.
