Job Description:

We are seeking a tactful and persuasive Phone Collections Officer to join our team in Ikeja. Your core objective is to recover outstanding loan balances by engaging with customers through professional, results-oriented communication. This role is not just about recovery; it is about finding solutions for customers in financial arrears, negotiating feasible repayment plans, and ensuring our loan portfolio remains healthy while upholding our reputation for excellent service.

Requirements:

• Customer Outreach: Proactively contact customers with overdue loan obligations via telephone.

• Negotiation & Recovery: Use your negotiation skills to agree upon realistic repayment arrangements and actively follow up to ensure these commitments are honored.

• Customer Education: Guide customers through the various payment options available, simplifying the process to encourage immediate settlement.

• Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous, real-time records of all customer interactions, promises to pay, and updated payment statuses.

• Issue Management: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes with professionalism. Escalate complex or highly delinquent accounts to management according to company protocol.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Previous experience in collections, customer service, call centers, or loan recovery is a significant advantage.
