Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pension Administrator to join our team at Shell, supporting the Finance function through a lens of Operational Excellence. You will be the primary liaison for approximately 4,200 pensioners, ensuring their needs are met with empathy, efficiency, and technical precision. This role is a unique blend of high-level stakeholder management, regulatory compliance (PENCOM), and digital transformation, where you will integrate process, data, and system improvements to deliver an outstanding pensioner experience.
Requirements:
Pension Operations: Conduct routine existence verification and provide end-to-end administration for 4,200+ pensioners. You will manage pensioner enquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism.
Digital Transformation: Partner with IT to manage and enhance our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and website, ensuring digital channels effectively serve our demographic.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a technical representative and support pillar for Pensioner Associations. You will build and sustain critical relationships with external bodies like PENCOM and Shell HR.
Contract & Vendor Governance: Act as the Contract Holder for service providers (e.g., annual calendar production). You will monitor vendor performance in line with CMCP (Contract Management & Compliance Process) requirements to ensure cost-efficiency and service quality.
Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports to PENCOM, ensuring that all pension activities remain strictly within the bounds of Nigerian pension law.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is considered an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record in managing Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes with a deep, practical understanding of PENCOM regulations, guidelines, and circulars.
