Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible, proactive, and highly organized Operations Assistant to support the daily pulse of our hospitality business. In this role, you will be the "right hand" to the Operations Manager, ensuring that every department—from guest services to facility maintenance—runs at peak efficiency. This role requires a unique blend of analytical thinking, leadership, and high-level multitasking. The successful candidate will be a bridge between our staff and upper management, translating executive policies into smooth, daily staff actions.

Requirements:

1. Daily Tactical Support & Decision Making

  • Managerial Support: Actively assist the Operations Manager in day-to-day tasks, providing the data and support needed for quick, effective decision-making.

  • Inter-Departmental Liaison: Collaborate with all department heads to ensure a "seamless guest journey," resolving bottlenecks before they impact the customer experience.

  • Staff Mentorship: Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability through regular performance monitoring.

2. Inventory & Resource Management

  • Procurement Excellence: Oversee the inventory lifecycle, ensuring supplies are ordered, tracked, and utilized with minimal waste.

  • Financial Insight: Analyze financial reports and operational spreadsheets to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

  • Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.

3. Conflict Resolution & Service Recovery

  • Liaison Role: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff-to-management communication, ensuring employee feedback is channeled upward effectively.

  • Customer Care: Respond to guest complaints with speed and poise, resolving issues in a manner that preserves the brand’s reputation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Foundation

  • Academic: SSCE, OND, or NCE. Additional education or certification in Business Administration or a related field is a significant advantage.

  • Experience: Proven experience in the Hospitality Industry is essential for this role.

Core Competencies

  • Digital Literacy: Proficient in the MS Office Suite, with high expertise in MS Excel for data entry and basic operational analysis.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills to facilitate clear, professional interaction with diverse stakeholders.

  • Analytical Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying operational challenges and proposing critical, data-driven solutions.

  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to pivot between tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude.
