MERN STACK DEVELOPER (GAMING INDUSTRY) AT CHARBENS LIMITED

Job Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end gaming platforms using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN stack)

• Build and optimize real-time APIs and WebSocket connections to support seamless multiplayer gaming experiences

• Collaborate with game designers, frontend engineers, and product managers to deliver innovative, player-focused features

• Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and highly available for global gaming audiences

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code aligned with industry best practices

• Work with databases, caching systems, and cloud services to manage large-scale traffic and gameplay data

• Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing gaming systems to improve performance and user experience

• Stay updated on emerging gaming technologies, full-stack development trends, and best practices

Requirements:

• Proven experience with game server mechanics and real-time synchronization for multiplayer environments

• Knowledge of WebGL, Three.js, or other interactive graphics libraries for building immersive gameplay experiences

• Strong background in designing and scaling high-traffic gaming platforms

• Understanding of player engagement, retention, and gamification strategies

• Familiarity with APIs, WebSocket connections, and cloud infrastructure for gaming applications

• Proficiency in debugging, performance optimization, and code reviews

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years’ professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer

• Proven background in the gaming industry (e.g., multiplayer systems, online casinos, esports, or betting platforms)

• Strong proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js

• Experience handling real-time data using WebSockets, Socket.io, or similar technologies

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+); TypeScript experience preferred

• Knowledge of database optimization, indexing, and query performance tuning

• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in agile, fast-paced development teams
