Job Description:
We are seeking a highly technical and leadership-driven NOC Manager to spearhead our 24/7 Network Operations Center. In this critical role, you will lead a multi-tiered team of engineers (L1/L2/L3) to ensure the peak performance, proactive monitoring, and rapid restoration of our nationwide network infrastructure. You will be the owner of our Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving ITIL-based incident management and championing automation to reduce mean-time-to-resolution. If you are a CCNP-level leader who thrives under the pressure of major network incidents and possesses the strategic mindset to optimize network uptime, we want you to lead our mission-control.
Requirements:
1. Technical Leadership & 24/7 Operations
Team Governance: Lead and mentor L1/L2/L3 NOC engineers across rotating shifts, ensuring 24/7 coverage and operational excellence.
Incident & Problem Management: Drive rigorous ITIL practices to manage the lifecycle of network incidents, from proactive fault detection to root cause analysis (RCA).
Major Incident Leadership: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for critical network outages, coordinating swift restoration and stakeholder communication.
2. Network Performance & Monitoring
Proactive Monitoring: Oversee the deployment and optimization of monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds) to ensure real-time visibility into BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and GPON links.
Maintenance Coordination: Strategically plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to minimize service disruption.
Performance Dashboards: Maintain and present comprehensive operational dashboards that track the health and capacity of the network infrastructure.
3. Operational Excellence & Automation
SLA Compliance: Track and improve mission-critical metrics, including Uptime, MTTD (Mean Time to Detect), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
Process Automation: Champion the transition from manual monitoring to automated fault detection and self-healing network scripts.
Process Improvement: Continuously refine NOC standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with global service provider benchmarks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications (Minimum 2.1 or Upper Credit).
Professional Experience: 7+ years in Network Operations/ISP environments, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a 24/7 NOC.
Technical Stack: Deep knowledge of IP networking (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), Fiber optics, GPON, and Wireless technologies.
Certifications & Skills
Mandatory/Preferred: CCNP and ITIL certifications are highly preferred. PMP or PRINCE2 is a significant advantage.
Tool Mastery: Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring suites (e.g., SolarWinds, Cacti, Zabbix).
Leadership: Exceptional stakeholder communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive during high-priority incidents.
