Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our clinical team. You will play a vital role in patient care by providing accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic testing. We are looking for a professional who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory precision, quality control, and safety to support effective clinical decision-making.

Requirements:

• Clinical Testing: Perform a wide range of routine and specialized tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids, adhering to established laboratory protocols.

• Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on lab instrumentation while strictly monitoring quality control metrics.

• Specimen Integrity: Ensure the proper collection, handling, labeling, and processing of all specimens to guarantee the accuracy of results.

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a pristine, sterile working environment and adhere strictly to all national and organizational biosafety and quality standards.

• Specialized Analysis: Conduct blood grouping, compatibility testing, and perform microbiological/infectious agent identification.

• Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously record findings, prepare technical reports, and ensure the absolute confidentiality of all patient health information.

• Inventory Oversight: Manage laboratory stocks and reagents to ensure continuous operational readiness.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS).

• Licensing: Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting.

  • Note: Graduates currently undergoing or having completed their NYSC are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong background in quality management and laboratory data systems.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high sense of professional accountability.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
