Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated, professional, and patient-focused Medical Officer to join our clinical team in Abuja. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary medical care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and ensuring that every patient receives compassionate and evidence-based care. The ideal candidate will combine clinical excellence with strong communication skills and a deep commitment to the well-being of our community.

Requirements:

• Clinical Consultation: Conduct thorough patient consultations, perform physical examinations, and diagnose medical conditions.

• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement effective treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress.

• Patient Advocacy: Educate patients on preventative care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices with a patient-focused, empathetic approach.

• Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records in line with clinical standards.

• Emergency Response: Provide prompt and professional response to medical emergencies as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or equivalent.

• License: Must have a valid and current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience.

• Residency: Must reside within Gwarinpa or its immediate environs to ensure reliable and timely response to clinical duties.

• Key Competencies:

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex medical information to patients in a clear, accessible manner.

  • Professionalism: High degree of ethical integrity, clinical judgment, and dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality.

  • Analytical Ability: Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to make evidence-based decisions under pressure.
