Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and clinically minded Post-Op Therapist to join our specialized recovery team in Abuja. This role is critical to the surgical journey, focusing on the specialized care required for clients recovering from liposuction, BBLs, and other body contouring procedures. You will be responsible for executing advanced therapeutic techniques to manage swelling, prevent complications, and optimize aesthetic results.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of the human lymphatic system and the manual skills necessary to manage complex recovery issues like fibrosis and seromas within a professional clinical setting.

Requirements:

Clinical Recovery & Treatment

• Specialized Therapy: Perform manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), post-op massages, and wood therapy to facilitate healing and fluid reduction.

• Fibrosis Management: Identify and treat areas of tissue hardening (fibrosis) using approved clinical techniques and body sculpting treatments.

• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, focusing on swelling reduction, skin retraction, and overall recovery milestones.

Safety & Protocol Adherence

• Standardized Care: Strictly follow established clinic treatment protocols and hygiene standards.

• Medical Escalation: Vigilantly monitor for signs of infection, hematomas, or other complications and escalate concerns to the medical director or lead surgeon immediately.

• Patient Education: Advise clients on post-care maintenance, including the proper use of compression garments (fajas) and activity restrictions.

Administration & Records

• Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed treatment records for every session, ensuring continuity of care.

• Clinical Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment room in line with healthcare standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Technical Skills

• Seniority: Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience specifically in post-operative body contouring.

• Technical Mastery: Proven proficiency in:

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

  • Post-Op Massage & Wood Therapy

  • Fibrosis Management & Ultrasound/Radiofrequency (if applicable)

• Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of surgical recovery timelines, contraindications, and the physiological impact of liposuction and BBL procedures.
