Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to lead our delivery operations. In the world of high-end confectionery, timing and handling are everything. You will be responsible for planning delicate cake deliveries, supervising our driver fleet, and optimizing routes to ensure our products arrive in perfect condition and on time. This role requires a blend of traditional fleet management and modern digital savvy, utilizing ride-hailing platforms alongside internal resources to navigate the unique landscape of Ikoyi and its environs.

Requirements:

1. Route Optimization & Delivery Planning

• Strategic Dispatch: Plan and monitor all outgoing deliveries, ensuring high-priority orders are dispatched with the correct handling instructions.

• Geographical Navigation: Utilize expert knowledge of Ikoyi and surrounding areas to plot the most efficient routes, avoiding traffic bottlenecks to ensure "fresh-from-the-oven" delivery.

• Digital Integration: Proficiently manage deliveries via ride-hailing apps (Uber, Bolt) and internal logistics software to maintain a flexible and responsive delivery network.

2. Fleet & Driver Supervision

• Personnel Leadership: Supervise and coordinate drivers and dispatch riders, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and "fragile cargo" handling protocols.

• Process Streamlining: Develop new strategies to reduce delivery costs while improving the customer experience through faster turnaround times.

• Performance Monitoring: Track delivery metrics and driver performance to identify areas for efficiency gains.

3. Warehouse & Shipment Processing

• Workspace Organization: Oversee the labeling of goods and organization of the loading area to ensure zero errors in order fulfillment.

• Shipment Integrity: Monitor the processing of shipments, ensuring that packaging meets the requirements for delicate cake transport.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, returns, and logistics expenses.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Location

• Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Tenure: At least 2 years of work experience in a logistics or supervisory role.

• Residency: Candidates must reside in or around Ikoyi to ensure rapid response and deep familiarity with the local terrain.

Core Competencies

• Tech-Savvy: Must be highly computer literate and expert in using ride-hailing apps (Uber/Bolt) for business logistics.

• Detail Oriented: A high level of precision is required to manage cake delivery schedules where even a 10-minute delay matters.
