Job Description:

• The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating daily delivery activities, managing customer delivery requests, and working closely with the dispatch rider to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries.
• The role involves sorting delivery schedules, tracking dispatches, resolving delivery issues, and serving as the main link between customers and the dispatch team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prioritize customer delivery requests daily.
• Prepare and organize delivery schedules for the dispatch rider.
• Assign deliveries based on location, urgency, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure all items for dispatch are properly documented and ready for delivery.
• Work closely with the dispatch rider to ensure smooth execution of deliveries.
• Track dispatched items and monitor delivery status in real time.
• Confirm successful deliveries and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Escalate delays, incidents, or delivery challenges promptly.
• Serve as the first point of contact for delivery-related customer inquiries.
• Provide delivery updates and resolve complaints professionally.
• Confirm delivery details such as address, contact person, and preferred delivery time.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, dispatch records, and customer request registers.
• Update delivery status reports daily.
• File delivery notes, waybills, and other logistics documents properly.
• Identify ways to improve delivery routes and turnaround time.
• Support inventory or item movement tracking where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company logistics procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• OND / HND / BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years experience in logistics, dispatch coordination, or operations.
• Experience working with dispatch riders or delivery teams is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or logistics tools).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
