Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Coordinator to oversee the lifecycle, safety, and operational efficiency of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will be the primary steward of our transport assets, ensuring that every vehicle—from cars to vans—is safe, compliant, and cost-effective. You will balance the technical demands of maintenance scheduling with the human element of driver management, all while using data to optimize fuel consumption and minimize downtime. Requirements:

1. Fleet Operations & Lifecycle Management

  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day fleet activities to ensure peak efficiency and minimal vehicle downtime.

  • Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with mechanics and vendors to coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and periodic inspections.

  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the entire vehicle lifecycle, from acquisition and leasing to decommissioning and disposal.

2. Compliance, Safety & Driver Management

  • Regulatory Governance: Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet safety regulations, emissions standards, permits, and certifications.

  • Driver Coordination: Manage driver schedules, track performance, and maintain clear communication regarding responsibilities and safety protocols.

  • HSE Alignment: Liaise with Health & Safety teams to implement best-practice safety standards and consistent on-road practices.

3. Financial Control & Data Analytics

  • Cost Management: Control and optimize fleet expenditures, including fuel consumption, repair costs, insurance premiums, and leasing fees.

  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze fleet data and vehicle tracking systems to identify trends, reduce waste, and improve route efficiency.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed operational reports to management, providing data-backed recommendations for fleet improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven Tenure: Significant experience in fleet management, with a specific focus on cars and vans.

  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Vehicle Tracking Systems (GPS), fleet management software, and database applications.
