Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to anchor the foundational engine of our financial operations. In the specialized landscape of modern corporate finance where success is measured by the integrity of the ledger success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize daily transactions with the clinical precision required for Monthly Reporting, Statutory Tax Filings, and Fixed Asset Governance. This role is designed for an "Account Architecture Specialist" with 1–3 years of experience who can blend "Analytical Grit" (performing complex bank reconciliations) with the "Technical Agility" required to navigate Sage, QuickBooks, and Advanced Excel

Requirements:

1. Ledger Orchestration & Reporting Governance

• Reporting Sovereignty: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Financial Intelligence."

• Journal Architecture: Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts, providing the "Structural Foundation" for the company’s financial health.

• Integrity Stewardship: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in line with company policies, ensuring the "Source of Truth" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Compliance Logic

• Tax Sovereignty: Support VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) computations and filings, acting as the primary "Source of Statutory Compliance."

• Reconciliation Architecture: Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies, providing the "Functional Foundation" for cash-flow accuracy.

• Asset Stewardship: Manage relevant accounting schedules and the fixed asset register, maintaining the "Source of Capital Asset Fidelity."

3. Operational Integrity & Audit Power

• Audit Sovereignty: Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits, acting as the primary "Source of Audit Readiness."

• Payable/Receivable Architecture: Manage invoice processing and payment tracking, providing the "Relational Foundation" for vendor and client satisfaction.

• Velocity Logic: Utilize Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel to monitor actual performance against budgets in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Fiscal Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Mandatory: NYSC Discharge Certificate.

• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Certification: ICAN certification (or currently in progress) is a distinct advantage.

• Software Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks).

Core Competencies

• Analytical Grit: Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Fiscal Sovereignty: Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE).
