Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically versatile IT Specialist to join our team in Lagos. In an engineering-driven organization, the IT Specialist is the critical guardian of digital continuity, ensuring that hardware, networks, and specialized software environments operate without friction. This role is designed for a "Technology Orchestrator", a professional who can blend rapid troubleshooting with the disciplined maintenance of enterprise infrastructure.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Downtime Operations." You will be responsible for the health of the local area network (LAN), the security of company data, and the seamless support of end-user workstations. If you possess "Analytical Grit" and the technical maturity to manage complex IT ecosystems under the age of 30, we want you to anchor our digital future.

Requirements:

1. Infrastructure Management & Network Integrity

• Active Connectivity: Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, and access points) to ensure high-speed, secure connectivity across the Lagos office.

• Systems Administration: Oversee server health and cloud integrations, ensuring that data is backed up, encrypted, and accessible to authorized personnel only.

• Hardware Lifecycle: Manage the deployment, maintenance, and repair of workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices to minimize operational disruptions.

2. Security Governance & Troubleshooting

• Cybersecurity Defense: Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls and antivirus systems, to protect the organization from external threats and internal vulnerabilities.

• Tiered Support: Provide rapid-response technical support for hardware and software issues, translating complex technical hurdles into clear solutions for staff.

• Software Compliance: Manage the installation and licensing of engineering-specific software and standard productivity suites, ensuring all tools are updated and compliant.

3. Process Optimization & Documentation

• Technical SOPs: Develop and maintain clear documentation for network configurations, IT policies, and user manuals to ensure institutional knowledge is preserved.

• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, identifying potential bottlenecks or hardware failures before they impact production.

• Strategic Advisory: Support management by recommending hardware upgrades or software solutions that align with the company's scaling objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Age Limit: MANDATORY. Applicants must not be above 30 years old as of March 17, 2026.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: While open to various levels, experienced applicants will be evaluated strictly on target skills and competencies (e.g., Network Administration, Cloud Support, or Systems Security).
