Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity ICT Officer to serve as the operational technical lead for our mission in Abuja and its various sub-bases. In a complex NGO environment, ICT is the central nervous system that enables humanitarian delivery and data security. This role is designed for a "Systems Custodian", a professional with 4+ years of experience (or 7+ years with certifications) who can manage the full lifecycle of a Local Area Network (LAN) while ensuring 100% data redundancy and hardware accountability across multiple locations.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Downtime" connectivity and ironclad data protection. You will be responsible for everything from configuring NAS and OneDrive backups and managing CCTV systems to overseeing the procurement and maintenance of all ICT assets. If you possess a "Rigorous Maintenance" mindset and the professional grit to support cross-cultural teams in a multi-site environment, we want you to drive our mission's technology standards.

Requirements:

1. Network Architecture & User Onboarding

• LAN Administration: Support the Mission ICT Specialist in designing and configuring the LAN, taking full ownership of network monitoring and user access resources for both the central office and sub-bases.

• Onboarding Governance: Collaborate with HR to manage the ICT lifecycle of staff, from configuring email and system accounts to conducting technical inductions and GLPI ticketing training.

• Service Level Management: Closely monitor ISPs and communication providers to ensure that all services (Internet, GSM, Satellite, Radio) meet the agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

2. Data Sovereignty & Cybersecurity

• Redundancy Protocols: Execute a "Multi-Layer" backup strategy, ensuring all official data is synced to OneDrive and NAS, with scheduled physical backups to external drives.

• Threat Mitigation: Secure the mission's digital perimeter by managing enterprise antivirus deployments and ensuring all user applications are updated and patched against vulnerabilities.

• Surveillance Management: Oversee the functionality of CCTV systems across all offices, ensuring constant footage capture and secure archival.

3. Asset Lifecycle & Procurement Synergy

• Technical Procurement: Work with the procurement team to verify that all ICT hardware and energy-related project equipment meet exact technical specifications before acquisition.

• Inventory Mastery: Manage the Equipment Tracking System (ETS), including the coding, labeling, and proactive maintenance of all ICT hardware to prevent operational bottlenecks.

• Logistics & Allocation: Oversee the loan and allocation process for ICT devices, maintaining an up-to-date register and ensuring user compliance with equipment return policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in similar responsibilities. (7 years required if your degree is in a non-related field but supported by professional certifications).

• Industry Context: Previous experience within an International NGO is a significant asset.
