Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resource Officer to anchor the people operations of our growing manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be the primary link between management and our factory workforce, ensuring that HR policies are not just documented but effectively implemented on the shop floor. You will manage the full employee lifecycle—from high-volume recruitment and shift management to payroll and industrial relations—while ensuring strict compliance with Nigerian labor laws and food industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a "hands-on" professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is ready for immediate resumption.
Requirements:
1. Workforce Governance & Factory Compliance
Shift & Attendance Management: Oversee daily attendance and complex shift rotations for both permanent and contract staff to ensure zero production downtime.
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all HR activities comply with Nigerian Labor Laws and specific health and safety regulations required within the food manufacturing industry.
Policy Implementation: Operationalize organizational culture and HR procedures to drive staff productivity and workplace discipline.
2. Talent Lifecycle & Payroll Administration
High-Volume Recruitment: Support the sourcing, documentation, and onboarding of technical factory workers and office staff.
Payroll Stewardship: Manage the end-to-end payroll administration process, ensuring accurate deductions, bonuses, and timely payment.
Records Integrity: Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready physical and digital files for all categories of employees.
3. Employee Relations & Performance
Industrial Relations: Act as the first point of contact for factory worker grievances, resolving conflicts professionally to maintain industrial peace.
Performance & Discipline: Support the performance management cycle and lead disciplinary processes in accordance with the company’s handbook.
Liaison Management: Coordinate with external regulators and HR service providers (pension, insurance, HMO) to ensure seamless benefit administration.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: 2–4 years of hands-on HR experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in a manufacturing or factory environment.
Availability: Must be ready for immediate resumption.
Core Competencies
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigerian Labor Act and payroll systems.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both executive management and shop-floor workers.
Detail Orientation: High accuracy in managing attendance logs, shift records, and payroll data.
Resilience: Ability to handle the high-pressure demands of a production-centric business
