Job Description:
We are seeking a disciplined and proactive HR & Administrative Officer to anchor the workforce and office operations of our agro-allied manufacturing facility in Ogoja. In this role, you will be the bridge between factory management and the workforce, ensuring that all human resource activities—from recruitment and attendance to industrial relations—run smoothly. Beyond HR, you will oversee the essential administrative and facility logistics that keep a factory functional. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who understands the unique dynamics of a manufacturing environment and can enforce policy with empathy and integrity.
Requirements:
1. Workforce Management & Industrial Relations
Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment and onboarding of both factory floor workers and technical staff, ensuring a steady supply of labor for production cycles.
Attendance & Compliance: Monitor staff attendance logs and ensure all operations adhere to Nigerian Labor Laws and factory safety regulations.
Disciplinary Governance: Manage performance reviews and disciplinary processes fairly, maintaining a culture of accountability and high morale.
2. Payroll Support & Employee Welfare
Payroll Inputs: Coordinate daily attendance data, overtime calculations, and leave records to ensure accurate monthly payroll processing.
Welfare & Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between management and employees, resolving grievances and overseeing welfare initiatives that improve retention.
Records Integrity: Maintain comprehensive and confidential physical and digital personnel files for all employees.
3. Factory Administration & Logistics
Facility Support: Oversee office administration, including the maintenance of facility utilities, cleaning services, and general office supplies.
Logistics Coordination: Support the logistics and transport needs of the factory, ensuring that administrative vehicles and staff movements are well-coordinated.
Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce administrative procedures that reduce waste and improve operational efficiency at the site.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: 2–4 years of proven HR/Admin experience, specifically within a Manufacturing or Agro-Allied facility.
Location: Proximity to Ogoja is mandatory. Candidates must be ready to work on-site in Ogoja, Cross River State.
Core Competencies
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Nigerian Labor Act and factory-specific HR operations.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word) and familiarity with basic HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex employee-manager dynamics.
Integrity: Proven ability to handle sensitive staff information and maintain high ethical standards under pressure.
