We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead Travel Agent to serve as the primary point of contact for all travel bookings across Rooted Journeys, Mom Trotter etc and related travel brands.
- This role is responsible for managing the full booking lifecycle from inquiry to confirmation, ensuring every client receives professional, timely, and high-quality service.
- The successful candidate will oversee group trips, youth camps, safaris, cruises, and custom travel experiences, ensuring accuracy in reservations, payments, documentation, and communication.
- Our travel brands primarily serve a U.S.-based audience, and we are expanding into the Nigerian and broader African markets. The ideal candidate must understand American client service standards, communication expectations, responsiveness, and booking workflows, while also being able to adapt to emerging local markets.
Key Responsibilities
Booking & Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all travel inquiries and bookings
- Manage the full client journey from inquiry, consultation, proposal, confirmation, and payment tracking
- Coordinate group travel bookings including flights, accommodations, transfers, excursions, and insurance
- Ensure all bookings are accurate, documented, and properly tracked
- Maintain organized client files, contracts, invoices, and payment records
- Follow up consistently with leads and confirmed clients
Group Travel & Trip Oversight:
- Oversee bookings for group trips, youth camps, safaris, cruises, and hosted travel experiences
- Coordinate directly with suppliers, hotels, tour operators, cruise lines, and travel partners
- Ensure all trip components are secured and confirmed on time
- Monitor booking deadlines, payment schedules, and cancellation policies
- Provide clear updates to operations and leadership regarding booking status
Cross-Brand & Team Coordination
- Serve as a central coordination point across travel, media, marketing, and admin teams
- Ensure alignment between travel activity and content creation
- Track tasks and deliverables across teams and follow up to completion
- Support smooth communication and execution across brands
Project Management & Systems
- Create and maintain worklists, trackers, and timelines using Google Workspace
- Use Google Sheets to track bookings, content, and operational tasks
- Maintain organized documentation and shared drives
- Support improvements to workflows and operational systems
U.S. Client Service Standards
- Communicate professionally with U.S.-based clients via email, phone, and digital platforms
- Maintain strong responsiveness aligned with U.S. time zones
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends as needed based on trips and launches, and client intake needs etc
- Proven experience managing group travel and complex bookings
- Strong understanding of travel documentation, reservations systems, and supplier coordination
- Experience serving U.S.-based clients preferred
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- High proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets
- Ability to manage multiple projects, brands, and timelines
- Strong knowledge of analytics and reporting, with the ability to translate data into strategy.
- Excellent leadership, copywriting, follow-up skills and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Provide clear, structured travel documentation and confirmations
- Handle client questions, changes, and concerns with professionalism
- Uphold high customer service standards expected in the U.S. travel market
Market Expansion Support:
- Support booking processes as Innovasol expands into the Nigerian and regional travel market
- Adapt communication and service approaches for different client segments
- Identify opportunities to improve travel workflows for local and international clients
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional travel agency experience
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends as needed based on trips and launches, and client intake needs etc
- Proven experience managing group travel and complex bookings
- Strong understanding of travel documentation, reservations systems, and supplier coordination
- Experience serving U.S.-based clients preferred
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- High proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets

Key Requirements:
- Must be able to work in our Ikate / Lekki Phase 1 Office (Freedom Way)
- Some positions may transition to a hybrid schedule after a 3 month probation & demonstrated ability to work independently from home.
- Must have a flexible work schedule, and must be available to work US hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be creative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary (N3000,000 - N350,000 per month) based on senior-level experience; flexible ± depending on qualifications.
