Job Description:
We are seeking a sharp, multi-talented NYSC Intern to join our team in Abuja. This role is a hybrid position designed for a corps member who wants to build a dual-skillset in Financial Record-Keeping and Operational Administration.
You will be the "Engine Room" support for our finance and admin departments—handling everything from ledger entries and bank reconciliations to office coordination and stakeholder management. This is an ideal placement for an accounting graduate who is looking for a structured environment to apply their degree while gaining a 360-degree view of how a professional organization operates.
Requirements:
1. Financial Integrity & Accounting Support
Digital Bookkeeping: Assist with data entry, invoicing, and expense tracking, ensuring that every naira spent or received is accurately captured in the system.
Reconciliation & Reporting: Support the senior accountant in reconciling statements and preparing monthly financial reports to help the company track its fiscal health.
Budgeting Exposure: Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, learning how to project costs and manage departmental funds.
2. Administrative Coordination & Front-Office Excellence
Operational Hub: Provide high-level support by managing correspondence (emails/phone calls) and serving as the first point of contact for visitors.
Database Management: Maintain up-to-date digital and physical records, ensuring that documentation is scannable, searchable, and secure.
Logistics & Events: Assist in coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, and planning corporate events to ensure seamless office flow.
3. Professional Governance & Ethics
Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial and corporate data with absolute discretion, maintaining the "trust-first" culture of the organization.
Policy Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure all tasks are performed within company guidelines.
Internal Stakeholder Support: Provide exceptional service to internal teams, assisting on special projects that require cross-departmental collaboration.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Service Status: Must be a current NYSC Member serving in Abuja (FCT).
Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting is highly preferred.
Experience: Previous experience as an accounts assistant or administrative clerk (even during I.T. or prior internships) is a significant advantage.
Tech Stack: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory; experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a major asset.
