Job Description:

• Invoicing & Revenue Tracking: Prepare and post invoices for all cash and credit sales, ensuring that revenue from all points of sale (POS) is captured accurately.

• Rigorous Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations (Bank, Cash, and POS) to ensure all financial transactions align with physical inventory and bank statements.

• Vendor & Payables Management: Manage the full lifecycle of vendor information within the accounting system. Oversee timely payments, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain clean vendor ledgers.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with financial policies, VAT regulations, and relevant tax laws.

• Financial Reporting: Support the month-end and year-end close process by preparing and analyzing financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).

• General Ledger Oversight: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of all supermarket expenses and assets.

Requirements:

• Attention to Detail: Precision in managing thousands of small-value transactions.

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to spot discrepancies in inventory or cash flow.

• Communication: Clear and professional proficiency in English for reporting and vendor liaison.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–3 years of proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably within a Supermarket, Retail, or FMCG environment.

• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or SAGE 50 is essential.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and a strong understanding of general ledger functions.

• Certifications: Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or being at a professional stage is a significant advantage.
