Job Description:
Kursi Group is seeking a meticulous and highly analytical Finance Officer to support our core financial operations. In this role, you will be the custodian of financial accuracy, ensuring that every transaction—from daily receipts to complex treasury settlements—is recorded with precision. You will play a vital role in cash management, budget tracking, and the maintenance of a robust internal control environment. Requirements:
1. Financial Operations & Treasury Support
Transaction Management: Record and manage daily receipts, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring 100% accuracy in the general ledger.
Cash & Wallet Management: Support specialized treasury operations, including wallet funding, settlements, and daily monitoring of liquidity positions.
Cost Control: Actively monitor company expenses and income, identifying variances against the budget and promoting the efficient use of resources.
2. Accounting, Reporting & Audit Readiness
Financial Closing: Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all schedules are prepared on time.
Management Information: Prepare accurate financial summaries and reports that provide management with the insights needed for strategic planning.
Audit Stewardship: Maintain organized, up-to-date accounting records and serve as a primary contact for internal and external auditors by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
3. Compliance & Internal Controls
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all financial activities comply with Kursi Group’s internal policies, as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and escalate control gaps or irregularities, supporting the continuous improvement of frameworks designed to safeguard company assets.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Operations and Compliance teams to align financial data with broader business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Mandate: Certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA is a strong advantage.
Proven Tenure: 2–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Software Mastery: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas/pivots) and accounting/ERP systems like QuickBooks or Sage.
Analytical Prowess: Strong numerical and reconciliation skills with the ability to support forecasting and budgeting activities.
Soft Skills: High level of integrity, accountability, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
