Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially-minded Finance Manager to lead our financial operations in Wuse 2, Abuja. This role sits at the intersection of rigorous technical accounting and forward-looking Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). You will not just report on the past; you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Operations team, using data to steer profitability.

Your mission is to ensure that every Naira is accounted for—from multi-channel sales (POS and delivery apps) to complex supply chain costs. You will be responsible for building the financial models and quarterly forecasts that define our growth trajectory. If you are an Excel power-user with a passion for menu costing, margin optimization, and clean audits, this is your next challenge.

Requirements:

1. Technical Accounting & Multi-Channel Governance

  • Revenue Integrity: Ensure 100% accuracy in recording sales across all platforms, reconciling POS data with third-party delivery app reports (e.g., Chowdeck, Glovo).

  • Financial Reporting: Own the month-end close process, producing accurate P&L, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements within 7 business days.

  • Compliance & Control: Manage bank reconciliations, tax filings (VAT, WHT, CIT), and AP/AR workflows to maintain a healthy cash conversion cycle.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Forecasting Excellence: Develop rolling quarterly forecasts, providing management with clear projections for revenue, costs, and EBITDA.

  • Margin Engineering: Partner with the Operations team to perform detailed menu/product costing, ensuring every item sold meets target margins.

  • Decision Support: Build dynamic dashboards and financial models to simulate "what-if" scenarios, such as the impact of inflation or new branch openings.

3. Operational Partnership & KPIs

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor Gross Margin and EBITDA against targets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve the cash conversion cycle and implement internal controls to reduce leakages.

  • Tech Stewardship: Optimize the use of accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks) and integrated POS systems for real-time visibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance. (Professional certification like ACA or ACCA is a significant advantage).

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in Accounting and FP&A, ideally within the Hospitality, Retail, or FMCG sectors.

  • Tech Stack: Advanced Microsoft Excel (Financial Modeling, Power Query). Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, and modern POS systems.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Precision: Ability to spot trends in raw data and forecast accuracy within $\pm 5-10\%$.

  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding how operational decisions (like ingredient costs) impact the bottom line.
