Job Description:
We are seeking a chartered and meticulous Account & Finance Personnel to lead the financial operations of our Ikeja office. This is a high-responsibility role designed for a professional who views financial management as the cornerstone of organizational integrity.
As a certified ICAN or ACCA professional, you will manage the full accounting cycle—from high-volume transaction processing and payroll to complex tax compliance and inventory reconciliation. You will act as a strategic partner to the Departmental Head, ensuring that every naira is accounted for, every tax obligation is met, and every asset is tracked with clinical precision.
Requirements:
1. Financial Integrity & Treasury Management
Transaction Stewardship: Maintain flawless, up-to-date records of all financial transactions, processing payments and invoices in strict adherence to internal policies.
Reconciliation Mastery: Conduct rigorous bank reconciliations and ensure that internal ledgers are in perfect alignment with bank statements.
Internal Controls: Implement and enforce robust financial controls to mitigate risks, prevent fraud, and ensure the absolute integrity of our financial data.
2. Compliance, Payroll & Tax Governance
Payroll Excellence: Lead the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely salary disbursements and the precise calculation of statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF).
Tax Leadership: Manage the full tax lifecycle, ensuring that VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations are remitted on time to avoid penalties.
Audit Readiness: Ensure all financial records are constantly "audit-ready," providing expert support during external audits and regulatory reviews.
3. Procurement Support & Asset Reconciliation
Procurement Liaison: Work closely with the procurement team to validate vendor contracts, process payments upon delivery, and ensure completeness of supporting documentation.
Inventory & Asset Control: Lead physical-to-ledger inventory reconciliations, asset tagging, and deployment logs to ensure the company's physical assets match its financial records.
Budgetary Oversight: Track departmental expenses against budget allocations, providing the data-driven insights necessary for accurate financial forecasting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: ICAN, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory.
Experience: 2 – 3 years of core financial accounting experience.
Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
Core Competencies
Analytical Rigor: High attention to detail with a "zero-defect" approach to record-keeping.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS standards.
Ethics: Unwavering professional integrity and the ability to manage confidential financial and payroll data.
