Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially minded, high-velocity E-Business Manager to serve as the profit-centre owner of our digital banking portfolio. This is not a technical maintenance role; it is an aggressive sales and growth leadership position.

As the E-Business Manager, you will be the commercial architect of our transition into a digital-first microfinance institution. You will own the P&L for Mobile Banking, USSD, Agency Banking, and POS merchant acquiring. Your success will be measured by transaction volumes, fee income, and the scale of our agent network. If you are a sales-led professional with a deep understanding of the Nigerian payments landscape and a track record of closing high-value merchant deals, we want you to lead our expansion.

Requirements:

1. Aggressive Revenue & Channel Growth

  • P&L Ownership: Treat every digital channel (USSD, App, Cards) as an independent profit centre, driving aggressive strategies to hit monthly fee income and float targets.

  • Fintech Partnerships: Hunt, negotiate, and close partnerships with aggregators, corporate billers, and fintechs to embed our payment services into high-traffic ecosystems.

  • Commercial Negotiation: Lead high-stakes revenue-sharing negotiations with switching partners like NIBSS and Interswitch to maximize the bank's margins.

2. Merchant Acquisition & Agency Dominance

  • Pipeline Management: Build a robust sales pipeline for POS deployment and PayDirect collections across key sectors including Education, Healthcare, and Retail.

  • Agency Expansion: Lead the rapid recruitment and onboarding of agents to expand the Bank’s physical footprint in high-traffic locations.

  • Merchant Success: Implement a high-touch relationship model for top-tier merchants to ensure high uptime, reduce churn, and increase transaction loyalty.

3. Product Commercialization & GTM

  • Market-Led Ideation: Partner with technical teams to ensure Mobile App and USSD features are built specifically to solve market pain points and ensure immediate adoption.

  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Excellence: Execute high-impact product launches and marketing campaigns that translate technical features into revenue-generating usage.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct continuous pricing and feature audits of competitors to ensure our offerings remain the "preferred choice" for Nigerian consumers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance (MBA or professional sales certification is a significant plus).

  • Experience: 5–7 years of commercial experience in a Bank or Fintech, specifically within Sales, Business Development, or E-Business Growth.

  • Sales Track Record: A documented history of exceeding aggressive targets in POS deployment and merchant acquiring.

Technical & Commercial Skills

  • Payments IQ: Deep understanding of the Nigerian payments infrastructure (NIP, SIP, USSD architecture) and how to leverage it to close sales.

  • Commercial Acumen: Mastery of Merchant Service Charge (MSC) structures and the ability to architect profitable revenue-sharing deals.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a field sales team to hit high-pressure KPIs.
