Job Description:

We are seeking a mission-critical DevOps & Network Engineer to architect and maintain the backbone of our high-availability payment ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cloud-native software delivery and the physical reality of large-scale POS (Point of Sale) terminal deployments.

The ideal candidate is a high-stakes problem solver with 4–8 years of experience in fintech. You must be equally comfortable debugging a Kubernetes pod as you are configuring secure VPN tunnels for thousands of remote terminals. If you have the technical grit to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for real-time transactions while navigating the rigors of PCI-DSS compliance, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. DevOps & High-Availability Infrastructure

• CI/CD Orchestration: Build and automate robust pipelines to deploy fintech APIs and microservices with zero downtime.

• Kubernetes Management: Oversee containerized workloads, ensuring fault tolerance and scalability of payment switching engines.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform or Ansible to provision immutable infrastructure across primary and secondary data centers.

• Database Reliability: Maintain the integrity and high availability of wallet systems and reconciliation databases.

2. POS Terminal Ecosystem & Fleet Management

• Secure Connectivity: Design and manage the network fabric connecting POS devices to backend servers via secure APNs and VPN tunnels.

• MDM & Remote Lifecycle: Implement Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to push firmware updates, security patches, and remote troubleshooting to terminals in the field.

• Field Optimization: Partner with telecom providers to optimize APN configurations and monitor terminal-specific transaction success rates.

• Key Management: Oversee secure encryption and cryptographic key management for POS communications.

3. Network Engineering & DevSecOps

• Zero-Trust Security: Design a segmented network architecture using DMZs and zero-trust principles to protect transaction data.

• Compliance Rigor: Implement security controls and monitoring aligned with PCI-DSS standards.

• Traffic Management: Configure high-performance load balancers (HAProxy, NGINX) and firewalls (Fortinet/Cisco) to mitigate DDoS threats and minimize latency.

• Disaster Recovery: Maintain a proactive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) with automated failover between data centers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: 4 – 8 years in DevOps and Network Engineering, with a specific focus on Fintech or Payment Systems.

• Technical IQ: Mastery of Linux Administration, Kubernetes (CKA level), and Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF routing, and VPN architectures.

• Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Bash for automating repetitive infrastructure tasks.

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).

• Cisco CCNA / CCNP.

• PCI-DSS Implementation or ITIL Foundation.
