Job Description:

We are seeking a technically curious Software QA Engineer to become the final line of defense for our SaaS platform’s reliability. In this role, you aren’t just "checking boxes"—you are a quality architect. You will be responsible for the integrity of our data, the resilience of our APIs, and the seamlessness of the user experience.

The ideal candidate possesses a "break-it" mindset, an obsession with MongoDB data states, and the technical fluency to navigate the SDLC alongside a high-performing engineering team. Requirements:

1. Comprehensive Test Engineering

• Strategic Planning: Create structured test plans that cover functional requirements, UI/UX consistency, and "unhappy path" edge cases.

• Regression Management: Maintain a robust regression suite to ensure that rapid-fire SaaS updates never degrade existing core functionality.

• Resilience Testing: Proactively identify boundary conditions and unusual user workflows to ensure the system remains stable under stress.

2. Backend & API Validation

• MongoDB Data Integrity: Go beyond the UI. Write and execute MQL (MongoDB Query Language) to validate that data is correctly stored, updated, and retrieved in our NoSQL environment.

• API Stewardship: Utilize Postman to verify the communication between frontend and backend, ensuring endpoints return the correct status codes and payloads.

• Performance Baseline: Conduct load testing (JMeter/k6) to ensure the platform remains responsive during high-traffic spikes.

3. Defect Lifecycle & Collaboration

• Technical Diagnostics: Use Browser Developer Tools (Network/Console tabs) to provide developers with deep context on frontend failures.

• Bug Documentation: Log defects in Jira/GitHub with precise steps to reproduce, environment variables, and associated logs.

• Automation Readiness: Contribute to the transition toward automation by identifying high-value test cases for frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.

• SaaS Experience: 4–5 years in software quality assurance specifically for web-based SaaS platforms.

• Methodology: Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile QA methodologies.

Technical IQ

• MongoDB Proficiency: Expert ability to navigate document-based structures and use MongoDB Compass or the Mongo Shell.

• Web Tools: Proficiency in JavaScript-based browser tools and a high interest in modern automation frameworks.

• Tooling: Mastery of Postman, Jira, and version control via GitHub.

• Performance: Familiarity with JMeter or k6 is a significant plus.
