About Company:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Controller/Cost Analyst to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring effective cost management across our retail store, restaurant, and bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost control within hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering companies, or similar hospitality-related establishments — or have direct experience working with chefs and kitchen operations.
Job Description:
Develop and implement cost control systems, policies, and procedures tailored to restaurant, bakery, and retail operations.
Conduct detailed cost analysis of food, beverages, bakery items, and retail products to identify variances and recommend corrective measures.
Monitor daily operational costs and ensure they remain within budgeted targets.
Prepare accurate, timely cost and variance reports to guide management decision-making.
Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, procurement, finance, and operations teams to maintain up-to-date and accurate cost data.
Track inventory usage, wastage, and portion control while ensuring proper accountability and reporting.
Provide precise cost insights to support pricing strategies for menu items and retail goods.
Perform regular cost audits and highlight opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.
Train and guide staff on best practices for cost management and control systems.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Direct experience working with chefs or in kitchen cost control is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost management tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication, collaboration, and reporting skills.
Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Cost Controller or Cost Analyst in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering companies, or other hospitality-related establishments.
