About Company:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Controller/Cost Analyst to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring effective cost management across our retail store, restaurant, and bakery operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost control within hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering companies, or similar hospitality-related establishments — or have direct experience working with chefs and kitchen operations.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement cost control systems, policies, and procedures tailored to restaurant, bakery, and retail operations.

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis of food, beverages, bakery items, and retail products to identify variances and recommend corrective measures.

  • Monitor daily operational costs and ensure they remain within budgeted targets.

  • Prepare accurate, timely cost and variance reports to guide management decision-making.

  • Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, procurement, finance, and operations teams to maintain up-to-date and accurate cost data.

  • Track inventory usage, wastage, and portion control while ensuring proper accountability and reporting.

  • Provide precise cost insights to support pricing strategies for menu items and retail goods.

  • Perform regular cost audits and highlight opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Train and guide staff on best practices for cost management and control systems.

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Direct experience working with chefs or in kitchen cost control is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost management tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Cost Controller or Cost Analyst in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, catering companies, or other hospitality-related establishments.

Salary

₦200,000 – ₦250,000 monthly (negotiable, based on experience and qualifications)
