Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Civil Engineer to lead construction operations for our premium projects in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. In the high-stakes environment of Lagos real estate, the Civil Engineer is the primary guardian of structural integrity, quality, and project timelines.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end supervision of site activities, ensuring that every beam, slab, and finish meets the highest global standards while maintaining strict cost and wastage controls. Requirements:

1. Technical Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Blueprint Governance: Review structural and architectural drawings for accuracy, identifying potential constructability issues before they impact the site.

• Execution Excellence: Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure all works align perfectly with approved drawings and specifications.

• Quality Audits: Conduct routine inspections and enforce immediate corrective actions to maintain a "zero-defect" culture on site.

2. Project Lifecycle & Resource Management

• Milestone Planning: Develop and monitor project timelines to ensure critical path milestones are achieved within set deadlines.

• Logistics & Workforce Coordination: Manage the allocation of labor, contractors, subcontractors, and artisans while coordinating the delivery of site materials.

• Cost & Waste Control: Partner with the Quantity Surveyor to monitor material usage and implement strict waste-reduction strategies to maintain budget integrity.

3. Compliance, Safety & Documentation

• Regulatory Liaison: Coordinate with consultants, architects, and regulatory authorities to ensure all site activities comply with Lagos State building codes and HSE regulations.

• Stakeholder Reporting: Organize regular site meetings and provide management with clear, data-driven progress updates, documenting any variations or technical delays.

• HSE Advocacy: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Professional Status: COREN registration or NSE membership is a significant advantage.

• Experience: Proven experience in supervising residential or commercial high-rise projects, specifically in the Lekki/Ajah axis.

• Technical IQ: Proficiency in reading complex structural drawings and using project management software (AutoCAD, MS Project).
