Job Description:

PITAM WATER NG is seeking a high-caliber Technical Engineer to serve as the backbone of our Delta State production facilities. In the water bottling industry, technical uptime is synonymous with business survival. We are looking for a diagnostic expert—someone who sees a bottling line not just as machines, but as a synchronized symphony of mechanical, electrical, and chemical processes.

You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our industrial assets—from installation and commissioning to advanced PLC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Requirements:

1. Systems Engineering & Operational Optimization

• Equipment Lifecycle: Lead the installation, commissioning, and continuous optimization of advanced water treatment (Reverse Osmosis, UV Sterilization) and high-speed bottling lines.

• Process Reliability: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures, utilizing a methodical approach to minimize MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).

• Efficiency Analytics: Monitor and analyze equipment performance data and water quality parameters to drive "OEE" (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvements.

2. Advanced Maintenance & Technical Governance

• Preventative Strategy: Develop and execute rigorous preventive and predictive maintenance programs to virtually eliminate unplanned downtime.

• Control Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based control systems, interpreted through a deep understanding of technical schematics and electrical diagrams.

• Asset Documentation: Maintain surgical records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance metrics for audit readiness.

3. Leadership & Safety Management

• Technical Mentorship: Lead and train junior technical staff, fostering a culture of technical mastery and innovative problem-solving.

• Safety & Quality Standards: Ensure all technical operations comply with ISO, HACCP, and local safety regulations, protecting both our staff and our consumers.

• Project Leadership: Spearhead system upgrades and facility improvements in collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND/HND/B.Sc in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience specifically within beverage production, water treatment, or high-speed industrial manufacturing.

• Diagnostic IQ: Mastery in troubleshooting PLCs, control systems, and complex mechanical assemblies.

Core Competencies

• Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret intricate electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and mechanical manuals.

• Problem-Solving: A methodical, data-driven approach to diagnosing system bottlenecks.
