Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and technically aware Business Operations Officer to support our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) division. This role sits at the intersection of technical project support and business administration. You will be responsible for streamlining operational workflows, coordinating between technical teams and clients, and ensuring that our MEP projects are executed with maximum efficiency and financial accuracy.
Requirements:
Operational Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for the MEP division. You will track project timelines, coordinate resources, and facilitate communication between technical leads, site engineers, and administrative departments.
Administrative & Financial Support: Manage procurement documentation, track project expenses, and ensure all billing and invoicing processes are handled accurately and on time.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all project documentation (including safety records, technical drawings, and compliance certificates) is maintained, organized, and easily accessible.
Vendor & Sub-contractor Management: Assist in the procurement of MEP materials, evaluate vendor performance, and manage site-related logistics to prevent project bottlenecks.
Performance Reporting: Track KPIs related to operational efficiency, project milestones, and budget adherence. Prepare regular reports to help management identify risks and growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Relevant academic qualification (B.Sc., HND, or OND) in Business Administration, Project Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of MEP systems and the construction/engineering environment is essential for success in this role.
Key Competencies:
Organizational Mastery: Ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously without compromising on detail.
Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret basic technical project requirements and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactivity: A "get-it-done" mindset, especially when dealing with site-based emergencies or supply chain delays.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and experience with project management or ERP software is a strong advantage.
