Job Description:

We are seeking a high-level Brand Strategist to define who we are and, more importantly, why we matter. You are the architect of our identity—the person who digs deep into consumer psychology, market shifts, and competitive data to uncover the "strategic truths" that define our existence.

This is a role for a deep thinker who can translate complex data into a simple, compelling brand vision. You will be responsible for ensuring that every touchpoint—from product design to marketing campaigns—ladders back to a cohesive positioning. If you are a master of the creative brief and a seasoned workshop facilitator who can move the needle on brand perception, we want you to lead our strategic evolution.

Requirements:

1. Identity Architecture & Positioning

  • Brand Foundation: Define and refine the brand’s mission, vision, values, and personality, ensuring a consistent "North Star" for the entire organization.

  • Competitive Whitespace: Conduct clinical analysis of the competitive landscape to identify gaps in the market where we can uniquely win.

  • Messaging Hierarchy: Develop sophisticated messaging frameworks and value propositions tailored to diverse audience segments.

2. Consumer Psychology & Insight Mining

  • Primary Research: Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research (surveys, focus groups, and 1:1 interviews) to decode audience behaviors and perceptions.

  • Insight Synthesis: Translate raw data into actionable insights that inspire creative teams and inform high-level business decisions.

  • Brand Health Tracking: Define and monitor KPIs for awareness, sentiment, and equity, recommending strategic pivots based on long-term trends.

3. Strategic Stewardship & Go-to-Market (GTM)

  • Creative Briefing: Write high-octane creative briefs that act as a springboard for breakthrough visual and narrative work.

  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead strategic workshops and present recommendations to senior leadership to drive institutional alignment.

  • GTM Collaboration: Partner with Product and Marketing teams to ensure that new launches are anchored in a strong, brand-led narrative.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: BA/BS in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or Business.

  • Experience: 4+ years in brand strategy, strategic planning, or brand consulting (Agency or In-house).

  • Leadership: Proven experience presenting strategic roadmaps to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: The ability to find patterns in disparate data sets and market trends.

  • Creative Intuition: A deep understanding of what makes a brand "feel" right and how to inspire creative departments.

  • Psychological Insight: Familiarity with behavioral economics and consumer psychology.

  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling skills, both in written briefs and oral presentations.

Salary

₦300,000 - ₦400,000/month
