Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Deputy Finance Manager to serve as a cornerstone of our financial leadership team. This is a critical mid-to-senior level role designed for a "Chartered" professional who balances technical accounting precision with the strategic foresight needed to drive organizational growth.

You will act as the primary bridge between raw financial data and executive decision-making. Your mission is to ensure that our financial operations are not just compliant, but optimized for efficiency. From managing the "Tax Lifecycle" to supervising the finance team and mastering SAGE workflows, you will be the guardian of our fiscal integrity. Requirements:

1. Reporting, Forecasting & Strategic Support

• Consolidated Reporting: Support management in the preparation of rigorous monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide a transparent view of the firm's health.

• Budgetary Stewardship: Assist in the complex processes of budget preparation and financial forecasting, ensuring that departmental spending aligns with long-term strategic goals.

• Decision Support: Translate complex financial data into actionable insights, providing management with the intelligence needed to navigate market shifts and investment opportunities.

2. Governance, Tax & Compliance

• Tax Architecture: Oversee comprehensive tax planning and ensure 100% compliance with statutory remittances (WHT, VAT, CIT, etc.) to mitigate regulatory risks.

• Audit Readiness: Serve as the primary liaison for both internal and external audits, ensuring that our "paper trail" is beyond reproach and accounting processes are flawless.

• Control Systems: Monitor cash flow and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent leakages.

3. Team Leadership & Systems Management

• Operational Excellence: Supervise and mentor the finance team, conducting performance appraisals that drive a culture of continuous improvement.

• SAGE Optimization: Act as the internal lead for SAGE accounting software, ensuring that all modules are utilized to their full potential for accurate transaction posting.

• Record Integrity: Ensure that the general ledger and all financial records are maintained with the highest degree of accuracy and cross-platform consistency.
