Job Description:
- The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, tracking income and expenses, preparing financial reports, supporting financial planning, and ensuring accurate accounting processes.
- The role requires strong computer literacy, dedication, financial discipline,and retail accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts
- Record daily sales, income, and expenses
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Manage cash flow and expense tracking
- Reconcile accounts and financial statements
- Monitor payments, invoices, and receipts
- Track supplier payments and outstanding balances
- Support budgeting and financial planning
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Prepare payroll support data when required
- Support audits and financial reviews
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Detect financial discrepancies and report appropriately
- Use accounting software and digital tools for records
Requirements:
- A dedicated, computer-literate accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience, strong
- financial discipline, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage supermarket financial
- operations effectively while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting (retail/supermarket experience is an advantage)
- Must be computer literate
- Must show strong dedication and commitment to work
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good record-keeping ability
- Honest, responsible, and trustworthy
