Job Description:
We are seeking a high-impact Senior Asset Manager to serve as the strategic and commercial lead for a designated portfolio of upstream and midstream assets. In the energy sector, asset management is the ultimate balancing act between technical integrity, production efficiency, and financial optimization.
Your mission is to maximize the Net Present Value (NPV) of our assets while ensuring world-class HSE standards. You will integrate engineering data with financial modeling to drive profitability, manage large-scale CAPEX/OPEX budgets, and lead assets through their entire lifecycle—from acquisition to peak production and eventual disposition.
Requirements:
1. Strategic & Commercial Asset Leadership
Lifecycle Strategy: Develop and execute asset-specific operational and commercial strategies that align with long-term corporate ROI objectives.
Commercial Engineering: Act as the business lead for all upstream and midstream contracts, ensuring commercial structures are optimized for revenue growth.
Investment Appraisal: Lead acquisitions, financing initiatives, and asset dispositions by assessing investment potential and risk-return profiles.
2. Financial Modeling & Performance Optimization
Capital Discipline: Oversee multi-million dollar CAPEX and OPEX budgets, implementing rigorous cost-control measures and forecasting models.
Value Maximization: Utilize advanced financial modeling and valuation skills to identify opportunities for increasing revenue streams and production efficiency.
Asset Integrity: Monitor technical performance data to ensure that asset integrity is maintained without compromising profitability.
3. Governance, HSE & Stakeholder Management
HSE Stewardship: Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, fostering a "Safety First" culture across all operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and lead cohesive, multidisciplinary teams, integrating technical, financial, and legal experts to deliver unified asset performance.
Executive Liaison: Manage relationships with joint venture partners, regulators, and investors through high-impact reporting and presentations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. (MSc in Engineering or an MBA is highly preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in upstream/midstream asset management or core O&G operations.
Financial IQ: Expert-level financial modeling, budgeting (CAPEX/OPEX), and valuation skills.
Certifications: Professional credentials such as CFA, CPA/ACCA, or PMP are highly desirable.
